Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a setting that embraces best practices and exceptional customer service. The position supports acute care departments including Medical, Surgical, Emergency, Intensive Care, Childbirth, Pediatric, Operating Room, Perianesthesia, Endoscopy/GI, and Cardiac Cath Lab units.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Apply new knowledge and skills from ongoing education to improve patient care and promote cost-saving practices.
• Make patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs.
• Deliver excellent guest relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate clearly with patients and healthcare teams to manage expectations and ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.
• Prioritize safety for patients, guests, staff, and self by adhering to safety protocols, reporting near misses, and following HIPAA and national safety standards.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications to be obtained and maintained as required.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

Work Schedule: Full-time day and evening shifts, typically 4 ten-hour shifts per week with weeknight and every seventh weekend call required.
