Overview: Join a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional nutritional care and pleasant mealtime experiences to patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest. This role supports physician-ordered nutritional services, ensuring patient preferences and dietary needs are met with accuracy and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Call Center Specialist: Efficiently obtain and process meal orders from patients and visitors via telephone, ensuring compliance with diet orders and accurate documentation. Serve as a liaison between nutrition services, patients, and nursing units, addressing concerns and coordinating meal services.
• Room Service Specialist: Professionally serve meals, assist patients with meal ordering systems, and assess their ability to participate. Communicate effectively with nursing and dietitian staff, monitor patient needs, and maintain pantry supplies.
• Expeditor: Coordinate meal assembly during tray line processes, verify meal accuracy, ensure timely delivery, and maintain food quality and safety standards. Communicate with food service staff and leadership to uphold service excellence.
• Food Service Starter: Initiate meal tray assembly, check food acceptability, replenish supplies, and follow proper food handling and sanitation protocols. Deliver meal carts and nourishment efficiently, maintain cleanliness of equipment and dining areas, and support overall food service operations.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in nutrition services or food service within a healthcare environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
