Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a supportive environment that emphasizes best practices and exceptional customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Process, and regulatory requirements. Acute care settings include medical units, surgery, emergency, intensive care, childbirth, pediatrics, operating room, perianesthesia, endoscopy, and cardiac catheterization labs.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Apply new knowledge and skills from ongoing education to improve patient care and reduce costs.
• Make patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs.
• Deliver excellent guest relations to patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate clearly about patient progress and challenges, ensuring positive patient experiences through rounding and timely responses.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in accelerated MSN programs accepted.
• Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications required or obtained upon hire.

Licensure:

Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state board.
