Job Summary: Deliver top-quality healthcare services by utilizing radionuclides for diagnostic imaging, aiding licensed practitioners in patient diagnosis. This role involves performing nuclear medicine procedures with precision and professionalism.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Conduct nuclear medicine diagnostic tests for both inpatients and outpatients.
• Schedule all nuclear medicine procedures efficiently.
• Verify physician orders and prepare individualized doses for each patient, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Operate specialized nuclear medicine equipment, such as scintillation scanners, to trace and measure radioactive isotopes in targeted body areas.
• Prepare and administer radioactive tracers, adhering strictly to radiation safety protocols to prevent overexposure.
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, alleviate concerns, and secure cooperation.
• Assist patients in positioning for optimal imaging results.
• Maintain confidentiality and detailed records of tests, results, isotope usage, and staff dosimeter logs.
• Ensure cleanliness and contamination-free conditions in rooms, equipment, and personnel.
• Participate actively in the Radiation Safety Committee and coordinate equipment maintenance.
• Document maintenance activities and contribute to quality assurance and improvement programs.
• Provide basic life support when necessary and engage in ongoing professional education.
• Adhere to all relevant policies and standards, including on-call duties to support technical needs outside regular hours.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of at least a one-year program approved by the American Medical Association in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Proficiency with computer systems.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or certification as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Society of Nuclear Medicine.
• State health board certification as required.
