Job Summary: Provide essential support in healthcare delivery and patient care management within a clinical setting. Responsibilities adapt dynamically to meet the evolving needs of the practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and delegated patient care, maintaining awareness of normal and abnormal indicators to identify at-risk clients. Follow established standards and guidelines to ensure quality care.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging as necessary, and offer patients reassurance, clear instructions, and education.
• Facilitate smooth healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Initiate patient contact, prepare patients for examinations, and collect vital signs including weight, age, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, history, and chief complaints.
• Monitor patients exhibiting abnormal signs or symptoms, communicate findings to the physician, and document observations thoroughly.
• Ensure patients understand physician instructions upon discharge and accurately document all medical record entries and billing information in electronic systems.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings under supervision.
• Manage sample medications and logs, arrange necessary testing or admissions, obtain referrals, and retrieve test results to notify patients.
• Obtain consents prior to invasive procedures or immunizations and distribute educational materials to support patient understanding of treatments and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.

Education and Experience Required:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.

Work Shift:

First shift, full-time (40 hours per week).

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
