Position Overview: Join a dedicated team as a full-time Registered Nurse working day shifts in a Special Care Nursery and Childbirth Center. This role involves 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays. Prior experience in Special Care Nursery or Newborn Nursery is highly valued. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, or a commitment to complete the degree within five years is expected.

• Deliver patient- and family-centered nursing care that reflects best practices and exceptional customer service.
• Adhere to professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, state nursing practice acts, and regulatory requirements.
• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing tasks to address short- and long-term patient care needs.
• Engage in ongoing education to stay current with product and practice changes, promoting cost-effective care.
• Provide expert patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, families, healthcare providers, and colleagues, demonstrating respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and professionalism.
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment by minimizing noise, supporting healthcare students, and adhering to safety protocols including HIPAA and Just Culture principles.
• Participate actively in nursing research, evidence-based practice, and shared leadership opportunities.
• Contribute to team success by inspiring, mentoring, and collaborating with peers.

Education and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred or willingness to obtain within five years.
• Proficiency with computer systems is necessary.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications are required.

Licensure: Must hold current active Registered Nurse licensure as required by the state nursing board.
