Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
• Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and documenting chief complaints and medical history.
• Monitor patients exhibiting abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to physicians, and document observations thoroughly.
• Ensure patients understand physician instructions upon discharge and accurately document all medical record entries and billing information in electronic systems.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatment procedures, splint and dressing applications, and minor surgical preparations under supervision.
• Manage sample medications and logs, coordinate necessary patient testing or admissions, and obtain appropriate referrals and consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.
• Distribute educational materials and support patient understanding of treatments and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the clinical environment.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program.

Work Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Location: Serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
