Job Summary: Provide essential support in healthcare delivery and patient management within a clinical setting. Responsibilities adapt to the evolving needs of the practice to ensure quality care.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk individuals. Follow established standards and guidelines for patient care.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging as necessary, while offering reassurance, clear instructions, and education to patients.
• Coordinate efficient healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits, ensuring medical records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Monitor and report abnormal symptoms to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and maintaining logs.
• Arrange and administer patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, ensuring patients are informed and consent is obtained for invasive procedures or immunizations.
• Distribute educational materials and support patient understanding of treatment plans and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.

Education and Experience Required:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.

Work Shift:

First shift in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

24 hours per week (part-time).
