Position Overview: The Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides visionary leadership and operational oversight for nursing and clinical services within a prominent healthcare system in the Midwest region. This role is responsible for setting strategic goals, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and associate engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage nursing and clinical operations, emphasizing quality assurance and continuous performance improvement.
- Ensure patient and associate safety while maintaining high standards of patient satisfaction.
- Oversee compliance with state nursing practice acts, hospital licensure, and other regulatory requirements.
- Support nursing education programs and maintain staff competency through ongoing training and development.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and evidence-based standards of practice.
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership teams, and external partners to advance nursing strategies and organizational goals.
- Drive budget management, cost containment, and operational efficiency while promoting access and growth.
- Foster strong relationships with associates, physicians, and community stakeholders to enhance reputation and service delivery.

Education:
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution is required.

Experience:
- Minimum of seven years of progressive healthcare management experience, including leadership of inpatient units.
- Proven ability to represent an organization professionally and engage with diverse internal and external constituencies.

Licensure:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
