Job Summary: Provide compassionate healthcare and patient management in a clinical pediatric setting. Responsibilities adapt daily to meet the evolving needs of the practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators.
• Follow established standards and guidelines to ensure quality patient care.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries and triage as necessary.
• Offer reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
• Coordinate efficient healthcare delivery throughout patient visits, including accurate and updated medical record documentation.
• Prepare patients for examinations by collecting vital signs and medical histories.
• Monitor patients for abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to physicians, and document accordingly.
• Ensure patients understand physician instructions upon discharge.
• Assist with testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including applying splints, managing medication samples, arranging tests, and preparing for minor surgeries.
• Obtain necessary consents before invasive procedures or immunizations.
• Distribute educational materials and confirm patient comprehension regarding treatments and medications.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current nursing license valid in the state of practice.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, daytime hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
