Job Summary: Provide essential support in healthcare delivery and patient management within a clinical setting. Responsibilities adapt dynamically to meet the needs of the practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal indicators to identify at-risk clients. Follow established standards and guidelines to ensure quality care. Manage telephone triage with professionalism, offering reassurance, education, and clear instructions.
• Coordinate efficient healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits. Maintain accurate, complete medical records and prepare patients for examinations by collecting vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Monitor patients for abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to physicians, and document accordingly. Ensure patients understand physician instructions upon discharge and accurately enter billing information into electronic records.
• Support physicians during testing and treatment procedures, including applying splints and dressings. Manage medication samples and logs, arrange necessary testing or admissions, and obtain referrals. Assist with minor surgeries and physicals, securing consents for invasive procedures or immunizations. Provide patient education materials and confirm patient comprehension regarding treatments and medications. Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as required.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring exam rooms are clean and orderly. Sterilize instruments and verify equipment functionality to uphold safety and quality standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities.

Education and Experience Required:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.

Work Shift: Varied shifts totaling approximately 24 hours weekly.

Location: Serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
