Job Summary: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate pediatric nursing care in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest. This role involves supporting patient care management in a clinical environment, adapting daily responsibilities to meet the evolving needs of the practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and delegated patient care, maintaining awareness of normal and abnormal clinical indicators to identify at-risk patients.
• Provide care aligned with established standards and guidelines, including telephone triage and patient reassurance with clear, accurate education.
• Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery during patient visits by managing medical records, initiating patient contact, and preparing patients for examinations by collecting vital signs and medical histories.
• Monitor patients exhibiting abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to physicians, and document observations thoroughly.
• Facilitate patient understanding of physician instructions upon discharge and accurately document medical records and billing information.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints, managing medication samples, arranging tests, and obtaining consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.
• Distribute educational materials and support patient instruction to ensure comprehension of treatments and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical care areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and verifying that instruments and equipment are sterile and functional.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to changing responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Must hold a valid nursing license in the state of Indiana.

Work Shift:

First shift, full-time (40 hours per week).
