Job Summary: Serve as a healthcare provider collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver primary and women’s health care. Support and communicate effectively with supervising physicians and clinic staff. Provide technical and scientific oversight for the onsite laboratory when assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Fiscal Responsibility: Maintain accurate and legible medical records, demonstrate proficiency with clinic computer systems including billing and meaningful use, manage time and supplies efficiently, and assist in cost-effective scheduling and supply changes. Provide technical consultation for laboratory supervision when assigned. Facilitate patient care continuity through community resources and ensure timely billing for services.
• Quality: Establish and confirm medical diagnoses, order and interpret lab and imaging tests, prescribe medications, and manage follow-up care. Follow established protocols in collaboration with supervising physicians to ensure positive patient outcomes. Prepare and analyze quality improvement data and educate colleagues. Oversee laboratory quality control programs and resolve technical issues to maintain testing integrity.
• Patient Satisfaction: Prioritize and adjust patient care plans based on assessments and diagnostic findings. Provide patient education, counseling, and support. Assist with referrals to specialists or community resources. Represent the healthcare organization positively in community and hospital-sponsored events.
• Patient Safety: Organize and delegate patient safety efforts tailored to developmental stages. Ensure care is accurate, current, and appropriate for all age groups served. Conduct comprehensive health assessments and collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate and manage patient risk.
• Professional Growth: Participate in peer review, competency evaluations, and ongoing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills. Provide and receive constructive feedback to improve workplace performance and patient care.
• Customer Service: Uphold high standards of customer service, address ethical concerns, and foster a respectful and compassionate environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues. Maintain effective communication across all levels of the healthcare team and community contacts. Be accessible for laboratory consultation as needed.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required for new hires.
• Proficiency with computer systems is required.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current active Registered Nurse licensure by the state nursing board.
• Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) required for new hires.

This position involves working a 4th shift schedule in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
