Job Summary: Provide compassionate clinical support and assist in patient care management within a healthcare setting. Responsibilities vary daily based on practice needs.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Follow established standards and guidelines to ensure quality care. Manage telephone triage with professionalism, offering reassurance, accurate education, and clear instructions.
2. Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by ensuring medical records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Monitor patients for abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to physicians, and document accordingly. Confirm patient understanding of physician instructions upon discharge and accurately enter billing information into electronic medical records.
3. Support physicians with testing and treatment procedures, including applying splints and dressings. Administer sample medications and maintain logs. Coordinate necessary patient testing, admissions, and referrals. Retrieve test results and communicate them to patients. Assist with minor surgeries and physical exams, ensuring proper consents are obtained before invasive procedures or immunizations. Distribute educational materials and verify patient comprehension regarding treatments and medications. Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs.
4. Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring exam rooms are clean and orderly following protocols. Sterilize instruments and verify equipment functionality.
5. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.
