Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
• Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate and up-to-date. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly in electronic medical records.
• Assist physicians with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings under supervision.
• Manage sample medications and logs, arrange necessary patient testing or admissions, and obtain appropriate referrals and consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.
• Distribute educational materials and support patient understanding of treatment plans and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Ensure clinical areas are well-stocked, clean, and organized, maintaining sterile instruments and functional equipment.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned to support the practice’s smooth operation.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.
