Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging as necessary, while offering reassurance, clear instructions, and education to patients.
• Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
• Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly. Confirm patient understanding of physician instructions upon discharge.
• Assist with testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and coordinating necessary referrals and admissions.
• Support minor surgical preparations and physical exams, ensuring proper consents are obtained before invasive procedures or immunizations.
• Distribute educational materials and assist patients in understanding treatment plans and medication usage.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities.

Education and Experience Required:

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required.

Work Shift:

Day shift in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
