Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
• Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
• Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints, and observe for abnormal symptoms, communicating findings to the physician and documenting accordingly.
• Support physicians with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physicals, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and arranging necessary referrals and testing.
• Assist with patient education, ensuring understanding of treatment plans and medication usage, and distribute educational materials as directed.
• Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, and verifying equipment functionality.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned to support the clinical team and patient care.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.

Work Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm

Location: Serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
