Job Summary: The Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer leads and directs all nursing and clinical operations within their scope of responsibility. This role involves setting goals, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering access to healthcare services across regional communities in the Midwest. The position emphasizes operational leadership in clinical services, budget management, quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement. As a key member of the executive management team, this leader drives strategic initiatives to enhance patient care, regulatory compliance, and workforce development.

Essential Functions: Lead and manage nursing and clinical operations, ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement. Maintain patient and associate safety and uphold regulatory compliance with nursing practice acts and healthcare regulations. Support nursing education programs and ensure staff competency through orientation and ongoing education. Develop and implement evidence-based nursing policies and delivery models. Collaborate with physicians and leadership teams to execute strategic plans and improve operational efficiency. Oversee budget adherence, cost containment, and market competitiveness. Foster strong relationships with associates, physicians, and community stakeholders. Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of nursing leaders and staff. Champion the organization's reputation focusing on access, quality, safety, and community relations.

Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Master’s degree required.

Experience: Minimum of seven years of progressive healthcare management experience, preferably including leadership of inpatient units and external representation.

Requirements: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana. Excellent communication skills and ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed. Strong relationship-building skills and strategic leadership capabilities are essential.
