Job Summary: Support nursing practice and patient care delivery through a blend of direct care, communication, and clerical tasks in a perianesthesia setting.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Fiscal Responsibility: Efficiently utilize supplies and equipment, complete duties promptly, adhere to shift schedules, and support unit goals to reduce waste.
• Quality: Participate in documentation per unit standards, stay current with policies, problem-solve, multitask within scope, suggest improvements, accept delegated tasks, and engage in teamwork.
• Patient Satisfaction: Promote positive patient experiences through timely responses, professional conduct, purposeful rounding, and excellent guest relations with patients, families, and visitors.
• Patient Safety: Practice safe patient mobilization, use two patient identifiers for all tasks, report unusual occurrences, adjust care routines as assigned, and comply with HIPAA and social media policies.
• Professional Growth: Share knowledge with colleagues, demonstrate leadership, participate in councils, serve as a resource or preceptor, identify learning needs, and engage in departmental goal development and training.
• Customer Service: Provide a professional, quiet environment, be flexible with assignments and staffing, practice AIDET communication, foster teamwork, and deliver holistic care to diverse patient populations.

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or GED required; CNA license with 5+ years experience accepted in lieu of diploma/GED.
• Basic BLS certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Work Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm

This position is located in a regional healthcare facility serving the Midwest area of the United States.
