Job Summary: This role is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in healthcare settings, adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols. The individual will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting operating rooms and common areas, ensuring equipment and supplies are properly maintained and sanitized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned areas.
• Clean and disinfect operating rooms and shared spaces thoroughly.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies safely.
• Properly handle, separate, and dispose of regular and biohazardous waste.
• Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and organizational policies.
• Work independently and collaboratively to fulfill department needs.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Previous related experience is advantageous.
• Certification as a Surgical Cleaning Technician is preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience is desirable.

Work Schedule: Primarily 2nd shift hours, with potential weekend and holiday coverage.
