Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in ostomy and wound care within a supportive and innovative environment in the Midwest region. This full-time day position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:50 am to 4:30 pm, with weekend call approximately every seventh weekend. The role focuses on delivering patient- and family-centered nursing care that aligns with best practices and professional standards.

Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments across all age groups, identifying physical, psychosocial, cultural, and safety factors. Utilize advanced assessment skills to interpret findings and tailor patient education accordingly. Maintain up-to-date resources and documentation in line with education protocols.

Planning: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized teaching and discharge plans incorporating pharmacological, dietary, and therapy interventions. Adjust plans based on patient progress and feedback.

Implementation: Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety protocols while delivering patient education. Document education activities thoroughly and communicate significant patient changes to physicians. Serve as a liaison for patient education and participate in community outreach programs.

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Proficiency with computer systems is necessary.

Licensure and Certifications: Must hold an active Registered Nurse license from the relevant state board. Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty wound care certifications are required or to be obtained upon hire.
