Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic emergency department setting within a regional healthcare facility in the Midwest. This role emphasizes best practices, relationship-based care, and adherence to professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics and relevant nursing regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term patient care needs.
• Apply specialized nursing knowledge to make appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical requirements.
• Engage in continuous learning and apply evidence-based practices to enhance clinical skills and workplace quality.
• Deliver exceptional patient and visitor experiences by demonstrating respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and professionalism.
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, noise reduction, and supporting healthcare students.
• Participate actively in safety reporting systems and uphold HIPAA, Just Culture principles, and national safety standards.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent experience with at least five years in acute care if from a non-accredited program.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

Work Shift: Night shift, 36 hours per week.
