Job Summary: Provide essential support in healthcare delivery and patient management within a clinical setting. Responsibilities adapt dynamically to meet the evolving needs of the practice.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk individuals. Follow established standards and guidelines to ensure quality care. Manage telephone triage with professionalism, offering reassurance, education, and clear guidance.
• Coordinate efficient healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits. Maintain accurate, complete medical records and prepare patients for examinations by collecting vital signs and medical histories. Monitor and communicate abnormal patient conditions to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation. Confirm patient comprehension of physician instructions upon discharge and accurately document billing information.
• Support physicians during testing and treatment procedures, including applying splints and dressings. Manage medication samples and logs, arrange necessary testing or admissions, and obtain referrals. Assist with minor surgeries and physicals, ensuring proper consents are secured before invasive procedures or immunizations. Provide patient education materials and verify understanding of treatments and medications. Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as required.
• Maintain clinical areas by ensuring supplies, equipment, and patient education materials are well-stocked and organized. Keep exam rooms clean and orderly following established protocols. Ensure instruments are sterile and equipment functions properly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to changing responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience Required:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program is required.

Work Shift:

First shift, full-time (40 hours per week).

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
