Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a supportive environment that exemplifies best practices and outstanding customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Process, and regulatory agency standards. Acute care settings include medical units, surgery, emergency departments, intensive care, childbirth, pediatrics, operating room, and specialized procedural areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Apply new knowledge and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and promote cost-saving initiatives.
• Make appropriate patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs.
• Deliver excellent guest relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate clearly to manage expectations and provide timely responses to patient needs, ensuring a positive experience.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications to be obtained and maintained as required.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state board.

Work Shift: Third shift, full-time (36 hours weekly).

This position is located in a regional healthcare facility serving the Midwest region of the United States.
