Job Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role focuses on supporting healthcare delivery and patient management with a variety of daily responsibilities tailored to the practice's needs, including handling prior authorizations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines, respond to phone inquiries, and triage appropriately while offering reassurance and clear patient education.
• Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical histories, observe and communicate abnormal symptoms to physicians, and document all findings thoroughly.
• Assist with testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including managing sample medications and logs, arranging necessary tests or admissions, obtaining referrals, and notifying patients of results. Support minor surgeries and physical exams by preparing the physician and securing consents for invasive procedures or immunizations. Provide patient education materials and ensure patient understanding of treatments and medications.
• Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring exam rooms are clean, orderly, and compliant with sterilization protocols. Verify that instruments and equipment are functional and sterile.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience Required:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program is required.

Work Shift:

First shift, full-time (40 hours per week) in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
