This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role involves assisting physicians and mid-level providers with patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education within a busy clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling.
• Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed.
• Support providers during procedures by maintaining sterile fields and managing instruments.
• Assist with patient examinations within the scope of licensure.
• Perform phone triage and act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
• Communicate test results to patients, answer questions, and assist with follow-up calls.
• Document patient complaints and visit details accurately according to provider preferences.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs including height and weight.
• Update and review patient medication lists and summaries.
• Conduct point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered.
• Educate patients and guardians on electronic health record tools and benefits.
• Provide patient teaching and supportive care as needed.
• Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including obtaining necessary precertifications and authorizations.
• Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols.
• Maintain professionalism, accountability, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Education

Graduation from an accredited LPN program and completion of an approved IV therapy course are required.

Experience

Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications and Licenses

Must hold a current LPN license valid in the state of practice. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This role demands considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 pounds, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Working Conditions
