Education

Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist training program is required.

Experience

One year of experience as a mammography technologist is preferred but not mandatory.

Certification and Licensure

Candidates must be either a currently registered radiologic technologist (ARRT(R)) undergoing mammography training per MQSA guidelines and willing to pass the mammography registry when eligible, or a registered mammography technologist (ARRT(M)).

Mental and Physical Requirements

This position requires close mental and visual attention for extended periods. The role may involve stressful situations due to patient conditions and customer demands. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs, turning, pushing, pulling, and stooping. Ability to move independently throughout the department is essential.

Working Conditions

Potential exposure to infectious diseases, unpleasant odors, anesthetics, disinfectants, chemicals, and controlled radiation. May require on-call availability on a scheduled or regular basis.
