This role offers the opportunity to provide expert nursing care to patients with complex wound, ostomy, and continence needs, utilizing specialized skills and patient education to promote healing and improve quality of life.

Role Overview

As the inpatient clinical expert, you will assess and manage patients with altered skin integrity, collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, and serve as a trusted consultant for wound and ostomy care. Your responsibilities include evaluating patient progress, coordinating care plans, and ensuring accurate documentation using electronic medical records. You will also lead initiatives aimed at preventing pressure injuries and reducing hospital-acquired conditions.

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Experience and Certification

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with compact licensure eligibility.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Wound care certification is highly preferred.

Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to perform frequent physical activities including lifting up to 35 lbs, walking, standing, and other mobility tasks.
• Comfortable working in environments with moderate auditory distractions and potential exposure to infectious agents.
• Strong mental focus and ability to work independently under pressure.
