Join a dynamic healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest as an Advanced RN SIM Coordinator. This role leads the design, execution, and continuous improvement of simulation experiences within the Clinical Education department, fostering critical thinking and clinical decision-making among learners.

General Summary

Oversee and supervise educators and participants involved in simulation grant projects, ensuring effective learning outcomes through well-crafted scenarios and data-driven assessments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nursing departments, faculty, and inter-professional teams to develop engaging simulation scenarios.
• Mentor content experts in scenario development and debriefing, modeling best instructional practices aligned with INACSL standards.
• Set up and maintain simulation equipment, ensuring readiness and organization.
• Coordinate and supervise staff and students to meet simulation objectives.
• Collect and analyze evaluation data to support continuous improvement and report on grant outcomes.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required, typically a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. A Master’s degree in nursing or education is preferred.

Experience

Minimum of three years clinical experience and at least one year teaching nursing skills and critical thinking with proven success. Experience in developing education programs, conducting needs assessments, generating reports, and proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential.

Certification/License

Current RN license in a Compact State or equivalent is required. ACLS Instructor certification is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is necessary.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This role demands considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, walking, standing, and various movements such as stooping and reaching.

Working Conditions
