This position involves overseeing daily distribution, inventory control, and receiving functions within the storeroom department.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all shipments for damage and accuracy, ensuring urgent refrigerated items are promptly delivered.
• Monitor expiration and manufacture dates, rotating stock appropriately to maintain freshness.
• Enter inventory and purchase order data into the Materials Management Information System (MMIS) and archive packing slips daily.
• Organize and shelve stock accurately, verifying all items and special orders are correctly processed.
• Generate and manage pick lists for stock requests, ensuring timely delivery to user departments with proper documentation.
• Maintain logs of incoming packages without purchase orders and outgoing shipments via UPS, FedEx, and other carriers, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.
• Keep storeroom areas clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards, including proper stock placement and clutter-free aisles.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, and dusting to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience

At least one year of experience in storeroom or warehouse operations is preferred but not mandatory.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This role can be moderately stressful and requires sustained concentration. Physical demands include stooping, bending, and walking for approximately 70% of the shift, with frequent lifting of 25-50 lbs and occasional team lifting of heavier items.

Working Conditions

Work environments include approximately 20% time in an air-conditioned office, 30% in an air-conditioned storeroom, and 50% on an outdoor dock exposed to varying weather conditions. Noise levels range from light office sounds to moderate industrial noise.
