Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region as a Medical Instrument Courier. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe transport of sealed medical instruments and allergy serums between clinics and sterile processing departments. You will also provide non-emergency patient transportation within the regional healthcare network.

Job Summary

Responsible for collecting and delivering sealed, sterilized medical instrument containers and allergy serums while maintaining proper handling procedures, including temperature and humidity controls. Additional duties include transporting safety deposit bags to banking institutions and maintaining accurate counts of instrument containers for each clinic.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic literacy skills to read, write, and follow directions.

Experience

• At least one year of experience in a service-related field, preferably healthcare or transportation.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.

Requirements

• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license with annual driver’s exam.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Mental ability to follow written and verbal instructions and learn transportation policies.
• Annual physical and eye exams required.

Working Conditions

This position may involve extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting in a vehicle. Interaction with out-patients and occasional exposure to unpleasant conditions during transportation is expected.
