Key Responsibilities

• Implement patient safety protocols including infection control, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure a secure care environment.
• Manage central lines and prevent surgical site infections following established policies.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and educate patients and families to promote health outcomes.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and support clinical decision-making.
• Document all care activities and quality measures accurately to comply with healthcare standards.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

Experience

At least one year of nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Licensure and Certification

• Current RN license valid in the state or through Compact Licensure.
• Graduate nurses must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This role demands considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs., standing, walking, and various movements such as pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching.

Working Conditions
