General Summary

Under supervision, you will assist with patient care activities including hygiene, skin care, mobility, nutrition, and specimen collection. You will support patients with daily living tasks such as bathing, grooming, repositioning, and feeding, while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with daily hygiene and grooming tasks.
• Provide skin care and take precautions to prevent breakdown.
• Support physical activities including repositioning, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and transfers.
• Help meet nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, assisting with feeding, and monitoring intake.
• Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.
• Perform technical nursing procedures within credentialing scope, such as oxygen therapy, catheter insertion/removal, wound care, dressing changes, and nasopharyngeal suctioning.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate closely with primary nurses.
• Educate patients and families in conjunction with nursing staff.
• Maintain thorough and precise documentation of all care activities.

Education

Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed.
