This role serves as the primary point of contact for physician clinics, managing communications both by phone and at the front desk with professionalism and warmth. Key Responsibilities

• Promptly answer and direct telephone calls.
• Greet patients with respect and compassion.
• Communicate clearly with patients and their families, keeping them informed.
• Accurately collect and enter demographic and insurance information.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations.
• Schedule appointments following established protocols.
• Assist patients and guardians with patient portal setup and usage.
• Make confirmation calls and guide patients through registration and paperwork completion.
• Handle messages efficiently and update patient records as needed.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments at the time of service.
• Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and reliability under pressure.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Preference given to graduates of accredited medical receptionist programs or candidates with two years of healthcare experience.

Experience

Preferably two years in a general medical office or similar healthcare setting, with demonstrated customer service skills and responsibility.

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Requires considerable mental focus. Physical activities include lifting up to 35 lbs, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Work Environment

Medical office setting with occasional exposure to infectious diseases and challenging interactions. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
