Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Student Nurse Intern specializing in Surgical Orthopedics. Under the guidance of a licensed nurse, you will engage in hands-on patient care tailored to various age groups and developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities including hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
• Provide skin care and take precautions to prevent skin breakdown.
• Support nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, assisting with feeding, and monitoring dietary restrictions.
• Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.
• Perform technical nursing procedures such as oxygen therapy management, catheter insertion/removal, intravenous therapy discontinuation, wound care, and nasopharyngeal suctioning under supervision.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate closely with primary nurses to ensure quality care.
• Educate patients and families in conjunction with nursing staff.
• Maintain thorough and precise documentation of all patient care activities.

Education

Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed.

Experience

Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
