This role is essential for managing daily inventory, distribution, and receiving functions within the storeroom department, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of supplies.
General Summary
The Inventory Distribution Clerk oversees the receipt, inspection, and organization of shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting departmental needs with efficiency and care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect all shipments for damage and accuracy, prioritizing urgent refrigerated packages.
- Monitor expiration and manufacture dates, rotating stock to maintain freshness.
- Enter inventory and purchase order data into the management system and archive packing slips daily.
- Organize stock on shelves according to location codes, ensuring neatness and accuracy.
- Process manual stock requests and prepare pick lists based on delivery schedules.
- Pick and deliver storeroom orders promptly, verifying order accuracy and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Identify and report outdated supplies immediately to management.
- Maintain detailed logs of incoming packages without purchase orders and outgoing shipments via various carriers.
- Ensure storeroom cleanliness and compliance with safety standards, including proper stock placement and clutter-free aisles.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, and dusting.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience
At least one year of storeroom or warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Certification/License

Mental/Physical Requirements
This position involves moderate stress and requires sustained concentration. Physical demands include stooping, bending, walking for approximately 70% of the shift, and regularly lifting 25-50 lbs, with occasional team lifting of heavier items.
Working Conditions
Work environments include approximately 20% time in an air-conditioned office, 30% in an air-conditioned storeroom, and 50% on an outdoor dock exposed to varying weather conditions. Noise levels range from light office sounds to moderate industrial noise.
