This leadership role involves collaboration with oncology providers and multiple departments to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage capital and operational budgets, reviewing financial statements to promote fiscal responsibility.
• Create and update department policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
• Drive process improvements and coordinate staff orientation and competency validation.
• Conduct annual employee evaluations and manage hiring processes.
• Serve as the Medical Oncology EMR super-user, providing ongoing staff support and training.
• Foster a professional, supportive environment for patients, families, providers, and staff.
• Oversee staffing schedules, attendance, and leave approvals.
• Enhance patient experience and employee engagement through continuous development efforts.
• Monitor quality assurance data to improve patient care outcomes and ensure safety standards.

Education

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. A bachelor's degree in a health-related field is mandatory.

Experience

At least five years of nursing experience with a minimum of two years in clinical nursing leadership is essential. Experience spanning both hospital and clinic settings is preferred.

Requirements

• Current RN license in a Compact state or the state of Missouri.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) is preferred.
• Strong computer skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.

Working Conditions

This role requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including walking, lifting up to 35 lbs, and various movements such as stooping and reaching. Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases is expected in a typical clinical and hospital environment.
