Key Responsibilities

• Maintain schedule flexibility and punctuality while managing multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare staff, keeping all parties informed about exam progress and addressing patient needs promptly.
• Provide safe patient care and transfers, utilizing adaptive equipment such as hoyer lifts and sliding boards when necessary.
• Adhere to confidentiality standards and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Perform radiologic procedures in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory guidelines, accurately interpreting physician orders and maintaining thorough records.

Education

Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is required.

Experience

At least six months of experience as a registered radiographer is preferred.

Certification and Licenses

• Current registration as a Radiographer (ARRT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required. Candidates eligible for registry must attempt certification within 30 days of hire and pass within 90 days.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Mental and Physical Requirements

This role demands close mental and visual attention for extended periods and the ability to work under stressful conditions due to patient needs. Physical tasks include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs., and maneuvering patients safely.

Working Conditions
