Join a dedicated team supporting the mission of the Mid Missouri Area Health Education Center (AHEC) by engaging communities, fostering health career pathways, and enhancing outreach communications. This entry-level position involves coordinating events, building relationships, supporting student outreach, and assisting with marketing efforts to promote healthcare careers and strengthen partnerships across the Midwest region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain connections with schools, colleges, community groups, and healthcare partners, especially in rural areas.
• Represent AHEC at career fairs, expos, community gatherings, and partner meetings.
• Identify and pursue new outreach and collaboration opportunities aligned with AHEC initiatives.
• Serve as a primary contact for partners interested in AHEC programs.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing pipeline programs and events.
• Prepare outreach materials, presentations, and manage event logistics consistent with branding standards.
• Maintain calendars, participation records, documentation, and follow-up communications for evaluation and reporting purposes.
• Support marketing and communications efforts including social media, digital content creation, event promotion, and photo documentation.

Education

Associate degree in education, communications, public health, social services, or a related field preferred; alternatively, a high school diploma with relevant experience is acceptable.

Experience and Requirements

Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple marketing and outreach projects simultaneously are essential. Must be capable of transporting oneself throughout facilities and lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds. Moderate travel using a personal vehicle is required, including limited overnight stays; mileage reimbursement is provided.
