Join a dedicated healthcare team in a regional medical clinic serving the Midwest area. This role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering comprehensive patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention and safe patient handling.
• Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections.
• Administer medications via various routes including oral, IM, SC, topical, and IV.
• Assist providers with procedures and examinations within scope of practice.
• Perform phone triage and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Communicate test results and provide patient education effectively.
• Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in medical records.
• Manage medication and summary lists, inventory of supplies, and venous access devices.
• Escort patients, obtain vital signs, and facilitate patient portal enrollment and education.
• Conduct point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered.
• Provide training to nursing and medical assistant staff in clinic roles.
• Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and handle precertification authorizations.
• Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and professionalism under pressure.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program is required.

Experience

Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications and Licenses

Current RN license in a Compact state or the state of Missouri is required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

Mental and Physical Requirements

This position requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Working Conditions

Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases, as well as occasional encounters with hostile individuals, is expected. Minimal physical discomfort is typical.
