As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver direct patient care by applying the nursing process with clinical competence and adhering to professional ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure a secure care environment.
• Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections following policy guidelines.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and educate patients and families to support positive health outcomes.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and provide accurate information to the healthcare team.
• Document all patient care activities and quality monitoring data to support clinical decisions and compliance with quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, team members, patients, and families to improve outcomes and patient experience.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Engage in critical thinking and pursue continuing education to develop nursing skills and knowledge.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

Experience

At least one year of nursing experience is preferred.

Licensure and Certification

• Current RN license valid in the state or Compact Licensure.
• Graduate nurses must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This role requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs., standing, walking, and various movements such as pushing, pulling, and reaching. Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases is expected, along with occasional encounters with hostile individuals.
