Perioperative Nurse Manager

MLR Healthcare has partnered with a leading healthcare provider in Western Illinois to find driven nurse leaders ready to advance their careers. We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to join our team in the Surgical Unit, a 45-bed facility offering private rooms. As a Nurse Manager, you will lead a dedicated staff in providing exceptional care to adult patients requiring both medical and surgical nursing. Our unit specializes in a variety of surgical areas, including orthopedics, bariatrics, vascular, neurology, and general surgery, while also managing general medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee comprehensive nursing care for patients aged 17 and older in a 45-bed surgical unit.
• Administer and monitor patient health during post-operative recovery, while managing various medical conditions.
• Specialize in the care of surgical patients in orthopedics, bariatrics, vascular, neurology, and general surgery.
• Manage general medical conditions such as sepsis, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal issues, skin and wound care, and infections.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license.
• Preferred: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a medical/surgical unit.
• Proven experience in managing a broad spectrum of surgical and medical conditions.
