Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Clinical Intern, working under the supervision of a licensed nurse to provide compassionate patient care. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in various clinical duties, supporting patients through their daily activities and medical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily hygiene including bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, and grooming.
• Provide skin care and take precautions to prevent skin breakdown.
• Support physical activities such as repositioning, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and transfers.
• Help meet nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, assisting with feeding, and monitoring dietary restrictions.
• Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.
• Perform technical nursing procedures within credentialing scope, including oxygen therapy, catheter insertion/removal, intravenous therapy discontinuation, suctioning, dressing changes, wound care, injections, and NG tube maintenance.
• Lead and encourage participation in performance improvement initiatives.
• Communicate closely with primary nurses and educate patients and families as appropriate.
• Document all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in medical records.

Education

Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed.

Experience

Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
