Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Clinical Intern specializing in Obstetrics and Nursery care. Under the guidance of a licensed nurse, you will engage in hands-on patient care tailored to various age groups and developmental stages, supporting daily living activities and contributing to a compassionate healing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene including bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, and grooming.
• Provide skin care while preventing breakdown and perform physical activities such as repositioning, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and transfers.
• Support nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, assisting with feeding, monitoring intake, and adhering to dietary restrictions.
• Collect specimens, monitor vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.
• Perform specialized nursing interventions like sit baths, postmortem care, application of compression devices, wound care, and dressing changes.
• Maintain oxygen therapy, insert and remove urinary catheters, discontinue IV therapy, perform nasopharyngeal suctioning, and manage NG tubes.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections under supervision.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate closely with primary nurses to ensure quality care.
• Educate patients and families in coordination with nursing staff.
• Lead and support performance improvement initiatives fostering teamwork and employee engagement.

Education

Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education without meeting licensing requirements.

Experience
