Join a dynamic healthcare education team in the Midwest region as an Academic SIM Coordinator. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of simulation-based learning experiences within a clinical education department. You will collaborate closely with nursing staff, faculty, and interdisciplinary teams to develop engaging scenarios that enhance critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise educators and participants involved in simulation grant projects.
• Develop and refine simulation scenarios in partnership with nursing and inter-professional teams.
• Mentor content experts on best instructional practices aligned with INACSL standards.
• Manage simulation equipment and ensure organized, effective learning environments.
• Coordinate simulation activities to meet learning objectives and collect evaluation data to assess outcomes.
• Prepare detailed reports on grant results and educational impact.

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred; Master’s degree in nursing or education is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience.
• At least one year teaching nursing skills and critical thinking with proven success.
• Experience developing educational programs, conducting needs assessments, and tracking outcomes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite at an intermediate level.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Current RN license in a Compact State.
• ACLS Instructor certification preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Physical and Work Environment:

• Requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, walking, standing, and various movements.
• Work setting includes teaching environments with typical office noise and potential exposure to infectious diseases.
