As an Analytical BI Developer, you will translate complex requests into technical specifications, analyze data, and maintain and create reporting content across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, design, and maintain reporting solutions for end users and external partners using Epic Cogito, SQL, Excel, and other visualization tools.
• Collaborate with analysts, end users, and vendors to understand and finalize reporting needs.
• Document functional requirements and technical specifications clearly and thoroughly.
• Provide training and demonstrations to enhance operational support and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure quality control and validation of reports, including audits of security and data controls.
• Participate in cross-departmental meetings, documenting key points and contributing to process improvements.
• Assist with quality assurance testing and maintain detailed test documentation.
• Develop and manage stored procedures using SQL Server and Visual Studio; implement new data tables or extensions as needed.
• Communicate complex technical issues effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, escalating conflicts or roadblocks appropriately.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, computer science, information systems, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience of 2+ years.

Experience

At least one year of experience in Business Intelligence design and development, EHR reporting, or healthcare data analytics is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SQL, and relational database concepts is advantageous.

Certifications

Epic Cogito certification is required within 90 days of hire. Additional Epic certifications are a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position requires considerable mental focus and the ability to manage multiple deadlines with interruptions. The role involves standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs). Work is performed in a standard office setting with some potential for partial remote work, subject to approval.
