Education

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist training program is required.

Experience

At least one year of experience as a mammography technologist is preferred.

Certification and Licensure

Candidates must be either a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT(R)) undergoing mammography training per MQSA guidelines and willing to pass the mammography registry when eligible, or a registered mammography technologist (ARRT(M)).

Mental and Physical Requirements

This role demands close mental and visual focus for extended periods and the ability to work under stressful conditions. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs, and other movements such as pushing and stooping.

Working Conditions

Potential exposure to infectious agents, chemicals, anesthetics, and controlled radiation. May require on-call availability as scheduled.
