You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients and their representatives with warmth and professionalism, gathering accurate demographic and insurance details to support clinical care and reimbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient interviews and collect necessary admission consents for treatment authorization and insurance verification.
• Verify insurance information electronically and resolve discrepancies before finalizing registrations.
• Inform patients of their rights in compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.
• Respond promptly and effectively to patient inquiries, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Collect copays and direct patients to appropriate treatment areas post-registration.
• Ensure all patient information is accurately entered and documentation is thorough, including pre-authorizations and pre-certifications when required.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare Secondary Payor rules, HIPAA privacy standards, EMTALA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial assistance information and produce patient cost estimates as needed.
• Keep workspaces organized and uphold professional standards in conduct and appearance.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Preference given to candidates with certificates or diplomas in Medical Front Office, CNA, or Medical Terminology.

Experience: At least six months of experience in office, call center, customer service, or healthcare settings is necessary. Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment is essential.

Requirements: Ability to focus on detail and perform tasks under time constraints. Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, assist and transport patients in wheelchairs, and lift up to 10 pounds. Comfortable working in a busy office environment with occasional exposure to noise and other conditions. Flexibility to work various shifts is required.
