Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Clinical Certification Instructor, where you will deliver American Heart Association (AHA) course curricula to healthcare employees and community members. This role involves organizing and facilitating training sessions such as PALS, ACLS, BLS, Heartsaver, and PHTLS through NAEMT, as well as workplace violence education and emergency vehicle operation training for paramedics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and lead certification classes for staff and community participants, ensuring compliance with AHA and other relevant training standards.
• Manage all required documentation and reporting for training programs and maintain communication with training coordinators and department leadership.
• Maintain instructor credentials and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Ensure proper maintenance and sanitation of training equipment following infection prevention protocols.
• Support additional educational initiatives as directed by department leadership.

Education: Graduation from an accredited paramedic program or nursing school is required. Nurses should have foundational nursing knowledge typically obtained through an Associate Degree in Nursing.

Certification/Licensure: Current Paramedic, RN, or Compact Licensure is required. Must hold up-to-date certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, and CEVO (CEVO required only for paramedics). Instructor status for each teaching discipline must be obtained within six months of hire. A valid driver’s license is also necessary.

Experience: Minimum of three years clinical experience and at least one year of adult teaching experience in health education. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Mental and Physical Requirements: Ability to focus on detailed tasks under time constraints, with physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 15 pounds. Some travel within the region is expected.

Working Conditions: Primarily office-based with frequent off-site training sessions and occasional domestic travel. Potential exposure to infectious diseases is possible.
