As an ARRT Radiologic Technologist, you will operate advanced imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring accurate records for radiologist interpretation. You may also assist in other medical imaging areas as your skills develop.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain schedule flexibility and punctuality while managing multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
• Communicate clearly with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff, prioritizing patient care and safety.
• Provide personal care and safe patient transfers using adaptive equipment such as hoyer lifts and sliding boards.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and adhere to compliance standards.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance departmental operations.
• Keep patients and their families informed about exam progress and respond promptly to their needs.
• Perform radiologic procedures following departmental policies and regulatory guidelines, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.

Education

Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is required.

Experience

At least six months of experience as a registered radiographer is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications and Licenses

• Current registration as a Radiographer (ARRT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required. Candidates eligible for registry must attempt within 30 days of hire and pass within 90 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.

Mental and Physical Requirements

This role requires close mental and visual attention for extended periods and the ability to work under stressful conditions due to patient needs. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 35 lbs., and maneuvering patients safely.
